This year’s open enrollment season for choosing a dental plan runs from Nov. QUALIFYING EVENTS: A qualifying event changes your life situation and makes you eligible to enroll or adjust dental coverage outside the annual open enrollment period. The new option will offer some of the same benefits as the High Option plan such as crowns, dentures, bridges and orthodontic services for dependent children up to age 1 with a lower out-of-pocket maximum and a lower premium than the High Option. The Open Enrollment period for the state Dental Program is normally held each year from September through mid-October. Actions made during Open Enrollment are effective January 1st of the following year. You can buy dental or vision insurance year round.
